A ski for every boy

Oh boy is it fun to watch a little boy figure out how to glide on skinny skis down a smooth, quiet track. I perch myself behind him prepared for a slow, patient ski around the 1.5K loop. It is a bright sunny day, everyone is overly happy. We have not had a snowfall like this in maybe a decade. My little guy is eager to move and to please. I keep the pressure off and the M&Ms stocked. Push one foot in front of the other little guy and repeat; valuable lessons of focus, determination, grit and play. Smiles and hot cocoa await us at the finish with stories and ideas for next adventure.
